Our Vision

To provide the best care to all patients affected by cancer in Papua New Guinea. We envision a nation where every person facing cancer has access to compassionate, evidence-based, and high-quality care delivered by skilled and empowered oncology nurses.

Our Mission

PaNGONA exists to connect, unite, and empower cancer nurses across Papua New Guinea. Through education, research, and leadership development, we equip our members with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional care. We strive to reduce the burden of cancer, improve patient outcomes, and support nurses in advancing their professional practice. By fostering collaboration and promoting evidence-based nursing, we help shape a stronger, more effective oncology care system for the country.

Our Values

  • Unity: We build strong connections among oncology nurses, promoting teamwork and mutual support.

  • Collaboration: We actively work with healthcare professionals, communities, and organizations to enhance cancer care services.

  • Growth: We encourage lifelong learning, professional development, and continuous improvement in nursing practice.

These principles guide everything we do at PaNGONA, inspiring our members to make a real difference in the lives of patients and families affected by cancer, while strengthening the oncology nursing profession throughout Papua New Guinea.
